Uttarakhand: Over 30 birds discovered lifeless in Rishikesh
Over 30 birds have been discovered lifeless at completely different locations in and round Rishikesh making a chook flu scare within the city. Twenty-eight crows and one pigeon had been discovered lifeless in AIIMS, Rishikesh premises, one dying was reported from Bees Bigha locality and two from Raiwala station, authorities veterinary officer Rajesh Raturi mentioned.
Samples of the birds have been collected and despatched to the forest division for additional motion, he mentioned.
Confirming the deaths, Rishikesh Municipal Commissioner Narendra Singh Quiriyal mentioned a brief ban on sale of chook meat will also be imposed in public curiosity if mandatory.
Raturi mentioned although 28 crows and one pigeon had been discovered lifeless in AIIMS Rishikesh premises, safety guards on the facility handed over the carcasses of solely 5 crows and one pigeon, burying the remainder of them as they had been in too dangerous form.
