A tunnel has been detected close to the Worldwide Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s sector Samba sector. The underground tunnel is suspected to have been utilized by 4 Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists to sneak into the nation from Pakistan.

The 4 terrorists had been killed in an encounter when a Kashmir-bound truck, during which they had been travelling, was stopped for checking at Ban toll plaza on Jammu-Srinagar nationwide freeway on Thursday. Based on the police, these terrorists had come to execute a “large plan” to disrupt the District Improvement Council polls, slated to happen in eight phases starting November 28.

Based on officers, it was suspected that the terrorists infiltrated into this aspect from Pakistan by the underground tunnel in Samba district. The large anti-tunnelling operation was being carried out by the BSF since Friday.
