Tripura police firing violence one killed others injured refugee rehabilitation protests

The Joint Motion Committee had referred to as shutdown for an indefinite interval to protest the Tripura and Central governments’ resolution to rehabilitate round 35,000 Reang tribal refugees, who had fled to adjoining Mizoram in October 1997 following the ethnic battle.

The agitations since Thursday prolonged within the close by sub-divisions and districts because the state administrations didn’t take any steps to quell the conditions and maintain any talks with the protesters.
