Faculties in Karnataka will resume classroom instructing for college students of undergraduate, postgraduate, engineering and diploma programs on January 15, Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayana stated on Monday.
Narayana, answerable for greater schooling, stated after a gathering with officers involved right here that authorities had been already holding offline lessons for final-year college students.
“NCC and NSS lessons can even be resumed, other than all hostel and bus amenities, as per the usual working procedures (SOPs). The social welfare and backward class departments have been instructed to comply with and implement the SOPs of their respective hostels,” he stated.
The SOPs are in place vis-a-vis faculty libraries and canteens, academic and cultural actions and sports activities, the Minister stated and added that coronavirus testing camps can be arrange for NCC college students.
“Faculties will arrange Covid-19 testing and sanitising amenities and comply with social distancing norms,” Narayana stated.
Preparations have been made to distribute bus passes to college students on the earliest, relating to which the Highway Transport Division had agreed to do the needful. He appealed to school managements to strategy departmental places of work of their neighborhood to expedite the method of issuance of bus passes to college students.
“There are additionally talks with Vice Chancellors of personal and authorities universities in Karnataka to carry offline exams. The examination schedule can be issued on the earliest,” the Minister stated.
