Nationwide Convention (NC) vice-president Omar Abdullah on Wednesday questioned the rationale behind holding District Improvement Council (DDC) polls in Jammu and Kashmir as he claimed candidates have been being stopped from campaigning on safety grounds. He alleged non-BJP candidates in fray for the elections have been stopped from campaigning, whereas the administration was going out of its method to assist the BJP.

“What kind of elections are being held in J&Ok the place candidates are being stopped from campaigning? Is that this the protected, terror free J&Ok the House Minister was tweeting about yesterday,” Abdullah stated in a tweet. He claimed candidates from events opposing the BJP have been being locked up.

“The J&Ok administration goes out of its method to assist the BJP & it is just lately created king’s occasion by locking up candidates against the BJP, utilizing safety as an excuse.
