Indonesia’s crashed aircraft possible ruptured when hitting waters: Chief investigator
Head of Indonesia’s Nationwide Transportation Security Committee Soerjanto Tjahjono mentioned on Monday that the Sriwijaya Airplane with 62 folks on board that crashed into waters off Jakarta on Saturday may break aside when hitting waters.
“The aircraft was probably ruptured when it hit the waters. This means that the aircraft remained intact within the air and it didn’t explode,” Tjahjono advised Xinhua.
He mentioned most items of the particles are in small elements and never scattered distant.
“All items of the particles are positioned in a single space solely,” mentioned Tjahjono.
Rescuers are searching for the 2 black containers of the aircraft, and alerts of the units have been caught clearly, Operation Director of the Search and Rescue Company Rasman MS mentioned.
The Boeing 737-500 plane, flying from the capital Jakarta to Pontianak metropolis in West Kalimantan province on Saturday afternoon, crashed into the Java Sea off the Seribu District in north of Jakarta.
It was carrying 50 passengers, together with seven kids and three infants, and 12 crew members.
