Chicken flu has unfold its tentacles to fifteen of the 33 districts in Rajasthan, with over 3,000 birds discovered lifeless within the state thus far, officers mentioned on Tuesday. Jaipur zoo has been closed following the dying of 4 birds.
Chief Wildlife Warden Mohanlal Meena mentioned that 4 Black Starks and some geese have been discovered lifeless on Monday on the zoo, following which the zoo was sanitised and closed. Just a few birds have been additionally discovered unwell. Their samples have been despatched to a Bhopal lab for assessments.
Chicken flu or avian influenza was confirmed within the districts of Jaipur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Chittorgarh, Pali, Baran, Kota, Banswara, Sirohi and Pratapgarh. On Monday, fowl flu was confirmed in Tonk and Karauli as properly.
Within the final 24 hours, 264 extra crows have been discovered lifeless, taking the whole crows that died of suspected fowl flu thus far within the state to round 2,500. In all, 180 peacocks, 190 pigeons too have died in Rajasthan.
